Happening #1: The Casebolt Sister's Visit!!!

About four hours after my husband arrived home two of his sisters, Sarah and Mandy, and Sarah's room mate Kim rolled into town. They made the drive from Livingston Montana to Santa Clarita California in a whopping 17 hours! Oh it was such a blast to have them here! Sarah had a list of things that they wanted to do while they were here and I think we just about fit them all in to the three day visit. Here's some pictures and highlights from their visit.

Frisbee!! One of the first things the girls did when they got here Saturday morning was take part in the weekly frisbee game that goes on ( I just recently put up a post about the frisbee blog that we started- check it out if you haven't yet.)

Here's Mandy (left) and Sarah (right) out on the frisbee field.

The Beach!! After church on Sunday 10 of us piled into two cars and drove to Leo Carillo, a really neat beach that is well known to Julia's family. She became our tour guide and showed us a couple neat features of the area.

Julia took us to see the sea urchins. They were all over the rocks in one area. Jon pretended to be creeped out by them but then preceded to touch every one that he could reach in order to make it close up.

I happen to like this picture :)

Mandy, chillin' on the beach blanket.

One very fun part about being with Brian's family is that they don't just take pictures, they must take pictures that tell a story. Here's one that took place while we were playing in the sand.

It started out with Sarah sitting in the sun, lazily throwing sand onto her legs...

Pretty soon everyone was pitching in and the large mound of sand covering Sarah's legs quickly turned into...

... a car!!!
And then the story telling began

Jon got ran over...

Sarah got pulled over...

The car was in a horrible accident...

...and Sarah's husband (played by brother Ben) was not happy.

As this was all going on I was mostly taking pictures. One of the things I enjoyed most was listening to the laughter and watching the fun that everyone was having. This video is just a glimpse of what I got to watch.

Vasques Rocks!! Of course a trip to California must include climbing all over these amazing rocks! Being prego this time I did not attempt the highest peaks like I normally would have, it was strange to make myself sit and watch, but fun too as I got to take pictures of my family and friends climbing those big rocks. They look a bit like ants up there huh? Would you believe that as fearless as I usually am climbing all over those, I actually caught myself worrying that someone would fall? :) I guess it's different when you're the one watching.

Here's all of us! (back row left to right): Mandy, Kim, Stephen Stapleton (friend). (Front row left to right): Brian, me, Julia, Ben, Sarah, Jon.

These rocks were often frequented by my family as we were growing up so I got to be a bit of a tour guide and lead everyone to some of my favorite spots.

If I were ever stuck at the rocks this would be where I would camp out :).

Sarah and I jnside another of my favorite spots.

Laser Tag!!
After leaving the rocks, and after refreshing ourselves with some lunch at our place we headed out again to play laser tag!!

Here we are all suited up and ready to play!!

Dinner at Stonefire!!

For dinner we went to Stonefire, some of the yummiest BBQ grilled food around!

The girls visit ended with a pie bake at Ben and Julia's house and several more hours of hanging out, visiting, a late night walk and picture exchanging.

It was a packed weekend but so much fun!! Thank you Sarah, Kim, and Mandy for coming to visit us!!

Wow, I'm shocked that you had enough energy to do all that! It sounds like fun!

Worrying about everyone climbing on the rocks simply means... that you are becoming a mother! It is just what moms must do! I used to water ski, rock climb, and ride crazy roller coasters. Now I think that I must keep myself alive to take care of all these people that I love!!!
