Introducing Chloe Elizabeth Casebolt!!

On June 10th at 6:33pm the Lord brought our precious daughter safely into this world. I can't explain the emotion that I experienced as the Doctor placed her into my arms. I was in awe as we watched her take a breath and let out her first squeeky cry. Looking at her perfectly formed little body"Fearfully and Wonderfully made" took on a whole new meaning.

How did it all go down you ask? Well, I'll just tell you :)

Tuesday June 10th 12:15am: My water broke
12:25am: I felt the first contraction
1:00am after calling the Dr. and doing some last minute rushing around we were on our way to the hospital. (My contractions were averaging 5 minutes apart)
2:30am-ish: At the hospital, in the bed and hooked up to the machines. (1cm dilated)
3:30am-ish: Contractions much worse, about 3 minutes apart (3cm dilated)
8:00am: By this time I was in horrible pain, my contractions were coming about 1 minute apart. Sometimes one would start before the one before it had eased off. (still 3cm dilated) Not knowing how much longer this would go on, or if I would even be able to have my baby naturally (my mom and sister both had to have c-sections) I decided to get the epidural.
9:00-sh: Got the epidural. "aaahhh, relief!" Later Brian told me about the needle that they had stuck in my back. Yikes! I'm glad I couldn't see it. My sister Terah got there shortly after that!
12:00pm-ish My Mom there! My sister in law Kristin picked her up at the airport for us and they came straight to the hospital!
2:00-ish I was about 4 cm dilated. The Dr. decided to give me a tiny bit of pitosin (sp?) just to move things along. My contractions weren't getting any stronger.
4:00-ish: I told Terah and Brian that I was feeling a strange preasure everytime I had a contraction. The urge to push was strong even though I had never experienced this before.
5:00-ish: The nurse came in to check me and with a surprised but pleased look on her face she said "you're at 10 cm, you're ready to start pushing" And after a bit of prep, thats what I did!
6:33pm: Chloe Elizabeth Casebolt slid into this world.

Here she is!!

Stats:

6 Pounds 12 ounces

19 Inches

Brown Hair

Dark dark grey eyes

Throughout that whole eighteen hour process Brian was my champion, I don't know what I would have done without him right there, massaging my back, feeding me ice chips, and reminding me that soon this would all be over and we would have our little girl in our arms. I'm so thankful to our Lord for the man that I'm married to. Brian is a wonderful husband, and he makes a great daddy!!
