10 Month Birthday Post

Chloe has now celebrated her golden month birthday!! ::grin:: On April 10th she turned 10 MONTHS OLD! They say time flies and I'm seeing that in a whole new way. I'm starting to get afraid that I'm going to blink and Chloe will be 18. I guess that's why I take the time to notice and write down the things shes learning and doing, for me and for you, to enjoy every detail possible in the growing up of Chloe Elizabeth Casebolt. :D Oh my! I sound like she's going off to college tomorrow. Well, on to lighter topics!!

Chair Pictures!!

Chloe has done a lot of growing this month! I think that most the time I don't notice how much she changes and grows but this month she just seems bigger and more grown up to me. Lets see if I can remember all her new and improved antics.

"Hi!" Is now Chloe's favorite word. She no longer just whispers it as she used to do she now says it full volume and with many different voice inflections. As Auntie Julia put it "she communicates so much with that one word" and it's so true! It can mean just plain "hi", "can I have that thing that you have, it looks like it tastes good!", or "I'm over here, pay attention to me!" There's this certain way that she says it that almost sounds like four syllables "ha-i-eh-ee!"

Chloe is understanding more and more when it comes to the words we do in sign language. She now does "all done" all by herself. There have been multiple times that she'll finish nursing and sign "all done" before I even ask. It's pretty cute! She understands the sign for "more" now but still has a bit of a hard time getting her little hands to cooperate. The hardest one she's working on now is "please" there have been times that she's done it and other times where she won't even try. I sometimes wonder if it's her sin nature peeking through refusing to say please. We'll just keep plugging away!

Solids! Boy has this stage of growing up been a trial! But, we finally found something that Chloe will actually eat without gagging and throwing up "plain goats milk yogurt" yum yum!

Games! Chloe loves to play games. Just about any game we start will make her laugh and it's the cutest laugh! It sounds like it bubbles up all the way from her toes and gives her the hiccoughs almost every time!

Still not crawling. I think she's waiting until she knows exactly how to do it perfectly. She is getting really strong on her knees and learning to scoot herselp places while on her rear or tummy.

Blowing kisses! We started working on this with Chloe and she's finally starting to do it! The other day I just said the word "kisses" and she put her chubby little hand up to her mouth, pulled it away and made an "mmmmaaaaaa" sound. Yay!! It was so cute!!

I feel like there's more that I'm forgetting but I think I'll end for now! Please enjoy these other cute pics. Some of my favorites taken during this past month.

I had to put up this pic. My Mom loves to put her feet up on things. I think it transferred to her grandchildren because Chloe and Alicia (my sisters daughter) both do this.

Chloe got a new hairdo this month from "Mimi" Stitz.

I love to watch my daughter sleep, she always looks so snuggled in. Brian and I call her a little "snuggle bug" when she looks like that.

The glass bottle will probably have to go away when she gets teeth but for now it is proving to be one of her favorite toys.
