One Year Old!!

On June 10th our little Chloe Elizabeth turned 1 year old! The year has flown by at an amazing speed and yet, I can say with thankfulness, that we have striven to enjoy and take note of every minute of it!! We praise the LORD daily for the joy that Chloe is! True, we have struggles and discipline issues and bad days, but as a whole the Lord has only used even those hard times to grow us in our dependence on Him for wisdom and strength, as well as in our love for each other and our little daughter. As usual I'm going to post chair pics and some updates on the past month but I'm also working on some special birthday slide shows, so keep checking back!!

Brian was home when we took these so he got to get in on some of them. I love watching my husband and daughter play together!

Chloe is growing and changing so fast! Here are some of the things she started learning and doing this past month as she grew from being an 11 month old baby to a one year old little girl! :D
Chloe figured out that Mommy talks on the phone while holding it to her ear so she has begun to mimic that. She holds random objects up to her ear and says "ah?" every now and then it even sounds like she tries to say "hello" but it comes out sounding like "eddo".
Shortly after she turned 11 months old, it might have been the day after if I remember right, Chloe started pulling up on things. Soon after she was "cruising", which is what they call it when they start walking along furniture to get accross a room.
Chloe really started figuring out that people and things have names. She likes to point at someone or something and hear me say the name. The cutest thing is when she points to herself and then laughs when I say "Chloe!"
Chloe has also mastered the art of "give me five". Her hand just looks so tiny as she holds it out to either give or recieve a hi-five!
So other fun favorites from the past month.

So there I was minding my own business when suddenly I was blinded by the brightest light I had ever seen. Whiter than the whitest snow, more blinding than the sun. My eyes stung in agonizing pain, seared by the lightning flash that filled the sky... and then after putting on 5 pairs of sunglasses and a welding mask, I realized it was simply a picture of Brian sleeping on the couch shirtless.
