Fun in the Rain!

We just recently had our first big rain since Chloe has been old enough to notice things and call them by name. As rainy day after rainy day went by I would point out the rain to Chloe and let her watch it from a chair by the window. Anyone who knows me well knows that I LOVE RAIN. I'm the kind of person that gets more chipper when it's "wet and dreary", I'm one of those people that tip their face up to the rain rather than down and away from it, and umbrellas? Who needs 'em!? :D Anyway, I think all my exuberance rubbed off on Chloe cause as the days went by she started asking more and more frequently "owside? rain?! owside?" As you can imagine, watching all this rian come down and hear her asking, I really really wanted to take Chloe out and let her play in it. But I also try to be a wise Mother (as much as I am able) and Chloe had no shoes that would work to go out in without getting her little tiny, size two feet sopping wet and cold! Then, it happened! A friend passed on to us some little tiny snowboots! Not exactly rain boots, but definitely warm and water proof!! YAY! As soon as it threatened rain we bundled up and out we went!
