Our first full day there, Brian Chloe and I accompanied Brian's Dad and brothers (Jon and Matt) out to the family ranch to help with some cleanup and prep for Mandy and Davids reception. There was more work to do than there might have otherwise been because the ranch got hit by that hailstorm I mentioned. Besides cleaning out the barn and getting it ready for dancing, and mowing the lawn and field there was lots of tree branches to rake and many tiny pieces of green plastic to pick up. "Plastic?" you're probably wondering... Just check out the pictures, it'll all make sense when you see what the hail did to the side of the car port. While we were there, I got the great fun of mowing part of the field with the riding lawn mower!! Sadly we got no pictures of it and therefore no proof but, I had a blast! I think my kind Father-in-law was trying to give me a break from crouching on the ground picking up plastic. I had to stop before I was ready though because I started feeling like I might just have the baby a little too early. :)

This is what the hail did to the trees. These little branches were all over the porch and grass anywhere near a tree.

Jon rankin' up pieces of tree.
Brian carrying the pieces of tree to dump them in the very full, fast moving, nearby crick.
At one point it started to rain so I put Chloe here to help keep her dry.
Matt, cleaning up green plastic.
Chloe found some ants. She was having a blast trying to get them on her finger. Unbeknownst to her she kept ending their little lives with her pudgy fingers.
Smellin' the Lilacs!
I helped Chloe take this picture of Daddy workin'
Earlier: Chloe got to do some baking with Auntie Hannah.
