Our Chloe Chloe

Our sweet baby girl is four years old! How can four years have gone by since i held that tiny little 6lb.12ounce munchkin in my arms and wondered with amazement at such a miracle?

My Dear sweet little Chloe,
"Do you know that i love you?" Is a question you like to ask your Daddy and me, and we love to hear it! Do you know that we love you? I know you do. You're such a blessing to us Chloe! Your adorable little laugh is music to our ears.Your constant talking and unquenchable curiosity about everything is sometimes frustrating and yet, I'm often amazed at the depth of your questions and your ability to grasp new concepts. I hope I never discourage you from asking and learning! Lately you've become a really good helper (when you want to be :) and an amazing big sister! Colton loves you so much! If you're gone or he doesn't know where you are he asks about you ( "doe-ee? doe-ee?") every five minutes or so until you return. Your Daddy and I are often amazed at your memorizing abilities, you pick up new verses and songs in a matter of a couple days and your excitement when you can quote those verses or sing those songs is contagious. In a recent prayer that you prayed you thanked Jesus for "the gospel...that Jesus died on the cross for our sins..." It brought tears to my eyes as I prayed that you will continue to take that to heart and put your trust in our amazing Savior! Daddy and I pray that for you daily! We want so much for you to know and love our Lord Jesus Christ. We're encouraged and blessed anytime you show little signs of understanding the truths of scripture!

We love you so very much little one. Happy 4th Birthday!
Love, Mommy

Here's one such encouraging "little sign" that she is understanding what she's learning. While sitting in church with us a couple weeks ago Chloe drew this. She showed it to me later: "look Mom," she said  "i drew Jesus on the cross!"
Another funny/encouraging little conversation we had took place at lunch on Sunday. We had taken communion at church that morning and Chloe couldn't understand why she couldn't try some of the crackers and juice, so at lunch I was attempting to explain. "so, the juice reminds us of the blood that Jesus bled for us while he was dying on the cross..." Looking at the bottle of pink lemonade that was sitting on the table (a special treat for her birthday) she said "and do you know what? This juice reminds us that Jesus rose from the dead!"

 A walk down memory lane...

This is one of my favorite of Chloe's newborn pictures.

Here are some of my favorite pictures taken over the past year. (Newest to oldest)
