For years now, my favorite time of year at Grace Community Church has been Shepherds Conference. When I was a kid I loved it because it meant having a Pastor and His wife stay with us. Terah and I always gave up our room and got to camp in Mom and Dad's walk in closet. When I got older I loved it because I could volunteer. When I was in highschool we would commit the whole week. Monday and Tuesday we were there from 7:00 or 8:00 to sometime in he evening. Wednesday through Friday 5:30a.m. to 10:00p.m. Saturday 6:30-whenever cleanup was done. Then, for several years I was on staff at Grace first in facilities and then in the I.T. department. Both were learning experiences as I go to contribute to different aspects of helping Shepherds Conference go smoothly. This year I had the amazing privelege of being able to volunteer once again, this time with my little Chloe along for the ride. We got to go Wed-Fri from about 9:00-2:00ish and it was such a joy. I helped out as much as I could with keeping the volunteers fed and feeling loved. Chloe kept smiles of their faces. I had multiple conversations with people some complete strangers simply because of my little daughters grin. Here are a few pictures of the fun we had and the people we got to serve.
Everyone got a huge kick out of Chloe's nametag with she wore everyday like a dutifull volunteer.

I made Chloe three Shepherds conference onesies one for each day. This one just had the logo on her left front.

Praise the Lord! My Daddy was able to come out for the Conference. He came up to the volunteer room to visit us a couple times!
This shirt said "L.B.I.T. (Lauren Brown in Training) Lauren Brown is the coordinator over the volunteers and one of the sweetest godliest ladies I know. :) If Lauren read that she'd probably roll her eyes at me. :D
So we started Chloe's training. If you're gonna be Lauren you gotta know how to use a radio.

Here are some of the friends that Chloe made.
