More on the visit from the Montana family

At about 6:30am Saturday June 16th, six weary travelers landed on our front porch... It was a way to short, but oh so fun visit! I'll just let you enjoy the pics and give commentary as necessary.

Sarah's training for a marathon so she took Brian with her on a run after they got in.

Ready to go on their date!
Saturday was quite full of lots of busyness!
Auntie Sarah took Chloe on a date! Chloe had a blast! I think she felt oh so important :D.
They got smoothies...

...rode some fun toys...

...and brought home balls for Chloe and Colton!
We gave Sarah this hat and scarf set for her birthday and as soon as she put it on, Chloe wanted to wear hers so they could match.
Saturday was also cake decorating day! I had the cakes all baked but waited for Hannah's help to get them all decorated. Though I've been decorating cakes for years, this was only my 2nd time using a home made fondant recipe that i had found. Hannah wanted to help cause she's thinking about using it on a friends wedding cake that she'll be doing next month!
Kneading the fondant

Chloe wanted to help!

At one point i noticed Chloe's face and said "Chloe don't wipe the powder on your face" her reply cracked us all up. In a very serious voice, still concentrating on her task she said, "i'm not". I guess she didn't realize what she was doing :D

Hannah did a beautiful job on Bells dress!!
All done! And at a decent hour too! I'm so thankful for Hannah's help, I probably would have been working late into the night if she hadn't been there!

Sunday was the "Birthday Party" that I already blogged about, but we also had the privilege of worshiping all together Sunday morning at our church and Sunday evening at the Church that Nathan and Kristin attend.
The girls, hoggin' the bathroom :)

We'd been hearing amazing things about the Omaha zoo, so Monday we decided to brave the heat and go check it out. It was very worth it!

Colton had this look on his face pretty much every time he saw an animal

Gramma, texting her "babe" as Chloe worded it.

Lookin' at the fish with Daddy!

We were all amazed at the armor plating that Rhino's appear to have.

This baby seal was so little! It was only about three weeks old!

Mommy and baby monkey

Despite his efforts to read the map, Matt just couldn't quite figure out where the Gorilla exhibit was.

Look at all those Gorillas!

Some more of the wild and crazy animals we saw at the zoo.
The Omaha zoo even has a little indoor aquarium, it was neat to see and the air conditioned building felt a-ma-zing!

Laughing at the penguins zipping around in the water.

Say cheese!

This picture being cast onto the floor was "interactive" the water would ripple and the fish would swim away when kids walk on it.

Colton was very intrigued by the eel.

I just love the rays!
I think it's safe to say fun was had by all! Here are some other fun things that we did!
Yay! For lazer tag!

Went out for ice cream!

Lots of hanging out, talking and laughing.

There they go!

Waving goodbye!
Well... at least the kids and I were sad to see them go.
